NDRF Leads Rescue Operations as Yamuna River Reaches Historic Highs

  Record-breaking floods have struck several districts along the   Yamuna River   as it reached a height of 208.08 meters, surpassing a 45-year-old record. This has resulted in the evacuation of over 750 individuals and 250 animals in Delhi. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been actively engaged in rescue operations, utilizing drones, rescue boats, and public announcements to locate and save stranded individuals and animals. Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, the NDRF successfully rescued 28 shepherds and trekkers who were stranded due to heavy rains, landslides, and flash floods. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh from July 14 onwards, raising concerns about further intensifying the floods.
