Now Passport Police Verification Will Take 5 Days Only
MEA has introduced the ‘mPassport Police App’ to reduce the police verification process for passport issuance across the country, from 15 days to 5 days only. To simplify and hasten the process of police verification of passport issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced the “mPassport Police App” on Friday. On the occasion of the force’s Raising Day, Federal Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday presented 350 mobile tablets to members of the Delhi Police Special Branch. According to a release released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Regional Passport Office (RPO), Delhi on Friday, these devices would now allow the whole process of police verification and submitting reports to become paperless.
