  Tesla has officially entered the Indian automobile market with the launch of its first showroom at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. This marks a significant milestone for the U.S.-based electric vehicle giant as it sets its sights on the rapidly growing Indian EV segment. India, now the world’s third-largest automobile market, offers immense potential for Tesla, which will compete with luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW, along with homegrown EV manufacturers such as Tata Motors and Mahindra.   Tesla is all set to enter the Indian market with the launch of its first showrooms in Mumbai and New Delhi by mid-July. This marks a major step forward in the company's long-anticipated India plans, aligning with the government’s push for electric mobility.  The showrooms are expected to showcase Tesla’s premium electric models, including the Model 3 and Model Y, and offer booking and service support. The move follows months of negotiations on import duties and local manufacturing discussions between Tesla and Indian authorities.

  Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture, Starlink, has received the green light from India’s Telecom Ministry to operate in the country. The approval marks a significant step toward expanding high-speed internet access across rural and remote regions of India. With this nod, Starlink becomes one of the first foreign satellite-based service providers to secure regulatory clearance. The service will operate under a global mobile personal communication by satellite (GMPCS) license, paving the way for commercial rollout in the coming months. Starlink’s entry is expected to intensify competition in India’s satellite internet space, which already includes players like JioSpaceFiber and OneWeb. This move also aligns with the government’s digital inclusion goals under the Digital India mission, aiming to bridge the connectivity gap in underserved areas.

  Bharti Airtel has signed a strategic agreement with SpaceX to provide high-speed internet to its customers in India using Starlink’s satellite technology. This partnership aims to enhance connectivity in remote and underserved areas where traditional internet infrastructure is limited or absent. Under the agreement, Starlink’s satellite-based broadband services will be integrated into Airtel’s network, offering fast and reliable internet access to both residential and enterprise customers. This collaboration is expected to bridge the digital divide and support the growing demand for high-speed internet in rural and hard-to-reach regions across India. Airtel’s move aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen its position in the Indian telecom market and provide cutting-edge connectivity solutions. The partnership with SpaceX marks a significant step toward expanding internet access and supporting the country’s digital transformation efforts.
