The terminal, shaped like a shell, cost ₹707.73 crores and offers 100% natural lighting for 12 hours a day. With a capacity to handle 1,200 passengers during peak hours and around 40 lakh passengers annually, it aims to improve connectivity to the island.   A security alert was triggered when a drone was spotted hovering above Indian   Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s residence in New Delhi on July 3. The incident came to light when the Delhi Police received information from the Special Protection Group (SPG) in the early morning. The drone was reportedly flying in the no-fly zone designated over the Prime Minister’s residence, which is located at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi. The Delhi Police conducted extensive searches in the vicinity but found no trace of the unidentified drone mentioned in the initial report. They also confirmed with the air traffic control room (ATC) that no such drone was detected near the Prime Minister’s residence. The building, which is being built at a cost of around Rs 971 crore, will replace the current Parliament building which was built over 90 years ago.
