  Indian tennis player Ankita Raina led her team to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Thailand in the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly known as the Fed Cup) on Sunday. Raina, who is ranked 174th in the world, won both of her singles matches to help India secure the win. In the first singles match, Raina defeated Thailand's Peangtarn Plipuech in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-4. In the second singles match, India's Karman Kaur Thandi lost to Thailand's Bunyawi Thamchaiwat in three sets. This set up a decisive doubles match, in which Raina teamed up with Sania Mirza to take on the Thai pair of Thamchaiwat and Plipuech. The Indian duo started strong, winning the first set 6-3, but the Thai pair fought back to take the second set 6-4. The third and final set was a tense affair, with both teams trading blows.
