 A devastating series of landslides has struck Kerala's Wayanad district, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. At least 63 people have lost their lives, and 116 others have sustained injuries after three landslides ravaged the Chooralmala village within a span of just four hours. The region, already reeling from heavy rainfall, now faces a grim battle for survival as rescue teams scramble to reach those still trapped beneath the rubble. The landslides, triggered by incessant downpours, swept through Chooralmala, obliterating large swathes of village land. Entire homes, bridges, and roads have been wiped out, leaving the area virtually unrecognizable.   Record-breaking floods have struck several districts along the   Yamuna River   as it reached a height of 208.08 meters, surpassing a 45-year-old record. This has resulted in the evacuation of over 750 individuals and 250 animals in Delhi. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been actively engaged in rescue operations, utilizing drones, rescue boats, and public announcements to locate and save stranded individuals and animals. Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, the NDRF successfully rescued 28 shepherds and trekkers who were stranded due to heavy rains, landslides, and flash floods.
