In response to escalating tensions between Israel and Hamas , India has initiated “Operation Ajay” to ensure the safe return of around 18,000 of its citizens residing in Israel. This strategic move comes amid increased violent strikes by Hamas on Israeli towns. S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, has emphasized the government’s unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad. To facilitate the repatriation process, India has organized special charter planes and implemented necessary preparations. The first wave of returning citizens is expected to reach India soon, with those registered receiving communication from the Indian embassy in Israel regarding the special flight.
