Minus Zero zPod: Startup Launches India’s First Self-Driving Car
Bengaluru-based startup Minus Zero has introduced India’s inaugural self-driving car named the zPod. Equipped with True Vision Autonomy (TVA), the autonomous vehicle incorporates a camera-sensor suite and boasts Level 5 autonomy capabilities, enabling it to navigate various environmental and geographical constraints. Co-founded by Gagandeep Reehal and Gursimran Kalra in 2021, Minus Zero aspires to develop fully-autonomous vehicles akin to those created by global tech giants such as Tesla and Google. The company plans to employ artificial intelligence (AI) to address the unique challenges faced in creating autonomous vehicles suitable for Indian roads.
