Jio Financial, BlackRock To Start Mutual Fund Venture In India

Jio Financial Services and BlackRock, have together asked SEBI, the group that checks on financial matters in India, to let them start a mutual fund business. They applied on October 19, 2023, and SEBI is thinking about it, as seen on their list on December 31, 2023. Also, a company from Kolkata named Abira Securities, which started in 2012 and works in stock broking, has asked again to start a mutual fund. They tried once before in April 2022. Another company, Angel One, already got a yes from SEBI in February 2023, and now they're just waiting for the final okay. India's mutual fund area is really busy with 45 companies and more wanting to join. This area handles more than Rs 50 trillion.  In 2023, three new companies started mutual funds in India: Bajaj Finserv Asset Management, Helios Mutual Fund, and Zerodha Fund House.  Bajaj Finserv and Helios will manage their funds actively, but Zerodha will do it passively. Reliance Industries, Walt Disney To Merge Media Businesses In India

Walt Disney and Reliance Industries, two major companies, have decided to join hands in India. This involves combining their media businesses in our country. Last week in London, these companies agreed to start the process of merging their media operations in India.  This agreement is a major move, as it will create one of India's largest media companies. This new company will be a big player, challenging other major media houses like Zee Entertainment, Sony, and popular streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The structure of this deal is quite interesting. Reliance Industries will hold a majority, with a 51% share, while Disney will have 49%. Tata Group and Nvidia Collaborate on AI Supercomputer and Transformative AI Solutions

  Nvidia, the US chip giant, has formed significant partnerships with two prominent Indian conglomerates: Tata Group and Reliance Industries. With   Tata Group , Nvidia’s focus is on developing computing infrastructure and platforms for AI-based solutions. This collaboration aims to create an AI supercomputer utilizing Nvidia’s GH200 Grace Hopper superchip, which is expected to drive a transformative impact on various Tata Group companies. Specifically, Tata Motors will work with Nvidia to incorporate AI into design, engineering, styling, simulation testing, and autonomous vehicle capabilities. Additionally, Tata Communications and Nvidia will join forces to build AI infrastructure, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to leverage this infrastructure for developing and processing generative AI applications, as well as upskilling its workforce.
