  Indian Railways is set to launch the much-awaited Vande Bharat Sleeper Express between Delhi and Patna ahead of Diwali. Designed to offer a faster and more comfortable overnight journey, the train will feature modern sleeper coaches with advanced amenities. This marks the first time the Vande Bharat line will expand into long-distance sleeper services, aimed at easing festive travel rush on one of the busiest routes in the country. The move is expected to provide passengers with a premium alternative to existing trains, combining speed, convenience, and comfort during the festive season.

  The upcoming Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train project is set to redefine high-speed travel in India. According to initial estimates, a full journey on board the train is expected to cost between ₹3,000 and ₹5,000. The fare structure aims to balance affordability with world-class service, offering passengers a faster alternative to flights and conventional trains. Covering the 508 km stretch in just about 2 hours, the bullet train will provide a premium travel experience with modern amenities and safety features. Officials believe that despite higher fares compared to regular trains, the significant time savings, comfort, and convenience will make it a preferred choice for business travelers and tourists alike. The project, once operational, is expected to mark a major milestone in India’s transport infrastructure.

  India’s ambitious bullet train project is set to achieve a major milestone, with prototype production likely to begin by September 2025. The 280 kmph trainset will be indigenously manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), marking a significant step in India’s push for self-reliance in high-speed rail technology. The prototype will undergo rigorous testing on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor, the country’s first bullet train route currently under development.   Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to introduce audio advertisements inside metro trains, starting with the Pink Line and Violet Line. The initiative aims to generate additional non-fare revenue while keeping passenger fares affordable. The ads will be played through the public announcement systems inside trains, alongside routine passenger information. Officials said the step is part of DMRC’s efforts to diversify revenue streams, following similar practices in metros worldwide. If successful, the model may be expanded to other lines in the network in the coming months.

  The Navi Mumbai International Airport is on track to receive its aerodrome license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by the end of August. With this clearance, the much-awaited airport is expected to commence commercial operations from November.  Developed as a second major gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the facility is designed to ease congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and boost regional connectivity.

  The Andhra Pradesh government has approved metro rail project tenders worth ₹21,616 crore, marking a major step toward enhancing urban transportation in the state. Of the total outlay, ₹10,118 crore has been allocated for the Vijayawada metro project, while ₹11,498 crore is earmarked for the Vizag (Visakhapatnam) metro.   Maharashtra is set to make aviation history with the construction of India’s first offshore airport near the upcoming Vadhavan Port in Palghar district. This will be Mumbai’s third airport, aimed at easing congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the under-construction Navi Mumbai airport.
