Navi Mumbai Airport Set for November Takeoff

  The Navi Mumbai International Airport is on track to receive its aerodrome license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by the end of August. With this clearance, the much-awaited airport is expected to commence commercial operations from November.  Developed as a second major gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the facility is designed to ease congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and boost regional connectivity.

Godrej Properties Acquires Raj Kapoor’s Bungalow In Mumbai

 Godrej Properties has acquired late Bollywood celebrity Raj Kapoor ’s bungalow in Mumbai’s Chembur suburb to develop a premium residential project. According to a statement from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Housing Rules, 1968, which were enacted under section 57 of the DDA Act, 1957, have been “approved modifications/relaxations” as requested by the DDA.  The DDA is now accepting applications for the first time for the allotment of freshly constructed flats if the applicant has a flat or a plot of land in Delhi that is less than 67 square meters in size. The DDA stated in a statement, “Anybody in Delhi with a flat or plot that is less than 67 square meters is now qualified to apply for the first time for the DDA’s assignment of freshly built flats. The primary regulations prohibited anyone from applying for an allocation of DDA flats if they or any of their family members already owned a flat or a plot of land, regardless of the size of the flat or plot.”...

India’s First Electric Double Decker AC e-Bus Introduced In Mumbai

 The all-electric SWITCH EiV 22 is launched as India’s first electric double-decker air-conditioning e-Bus in Mumbai. The e-bus is 100% made in India. The nation’s first double-decker electric bus with air conditioning was on Monday added to BEST, the civic transportation organization in Mumbai , after a delay of many months, according to officials. Before it is made available to the general public, the wet-leased e-bus will be certified with the Regional Transport Office.  This bus will probably travel the same suburban routes as the existing diesel-powered, conventional double-decker buses. According to Lokesh Chandra, general manager of the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) Organisation, 20 of these double-decker, air-conditioned buses from Switch Mobility, an Ashok Leyland subsidiary, are expected to arrive before the end of March.  By the end of this year, there will be 200 double-decker electric buses, he continued. “It’s a historic day right now....
