  Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated India’s largest Integrated Textile Park in Madhya Pradesh under the PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) scheme. The state-of-the-art facility aims to boost India’s textile manufacturing, create lakhs of jobs, and attract significant foreign and domestic investments. Spread across vast acres, the park will provide world-class infrastructure for spinning, weaving, dyeing, printing, and garment manufacturing—all under one roof. PM Modi highlighted that the initiative will strengthen the "Make in India" vision, reduce logistics costs, and position India as a global hub in textiles and apparel.

India Plans 3 New Strategic Oil Reserves

  The Indian government is planning to set up three additional strategic petroleum reserves in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. This move aims to enhance the country’s energy security by increasing its emergency crude oil storage capacity.  These new facilities will supplement the existing reserves in Visakhapatnam, Mangaluru, and Padur. The proposed sites are strategically selected to ensure wider geographic distribution and quicker access during global supply disruptions or price volatility.

Madhya Pradesh to Go Paperless with DigiPass

  The Madhya Pradesh government is set to introduce ‘DigiPass,’ a technology aimed at improving interactions between the public and government offices. Inspired by the success of  ‘DigiYatra’  in streamlining airport processes, DigiPass seeks to enhance administrative procedures within government ministries and offices. Abhijeet Agrawal, Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation, unveiled this initiative during the AWS Public Sector Symposium in New Delhi. DigiPass is expected to usher in paperless and efficient workflows, ultimately making government operations more effective. DigiYatra, known for its contactless facial recognition technology, has already simplified the airport experience at various Indian airports.
