Dubai Is Illuminated by Deepavali: A Festival of Light and Unity

The festival of lights, Diwali, recently illuminated Dubai’s beaches with its brilliant radiance. The spirit of this legendary festival, which represents the victory of knowledge over ignorance and light over darkness, was evident at the opulent Diwali Utsav 2023 held at the Etisalat Academy by the Friends of India (FOI). The event, which drew a crowd of 10,000 people, magnificently exhibited India’s beloved motto of “Unity in Diversity.”

The Diwali Utsav 2023 is a momentous occasion that showcases the continuously growing bilateral ties between the United Arab Emirates and India. Through strategic alliances in the areas of trade, defense, technology, and culture, the two countries have steadily strengthened their relationship throughout time. This dedication to strengthening cultural ties is best shown by the impending Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates, which stands for peace and respect for all.

Beyond design, the building of a Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates represents the cultural harmony that is fundamental to the country’s values. When finished, this temple will stand as a tribute to the mutual respect and solidarity between the UAE and India, as well as a symbol of peaceful coexistence and religious freedom.

A microcosm of the subcontinent, the Diwali Utsav showcased a wide range of customs. There were performances by artists from different language backgrounds, traditional games were played, and food stalls provided a taste of India’s diversity in cuisine. Additionally, the debut of Servo Lubricants specifically designed for the Middle East market was commemorated during the occasion, demonstrating the growing trust and commercial cooperation between the two nations. Essentially, Dubai’s Diwali Utsav is more than just a day of festivities; it’s a powerful reminder of the strong ties between India and the UAE, which are based on collaboration and respect for one another as well as the values of tolerance, diversity, and peace that both countries hold dear.
