Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway: Rani Mukerji Fights For Children Taken From Her

The film is based on a real-life story where a Norway agency took away their children. The couple fights against the entire nation to reunite their children.

The trailer for Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, which was released by Zee Studios on Thursday, features Rani Mukerji as a Bengali woman from Kolkata who is on the verge of war against the Norwegian foster care system to revive custody of her children.

After Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021, Ashima Chibber’s drama marks Rani’s comeback to the big screen.

The movie, which is based on real events, follows Debika Chatterjee, played by Rani, as her happy married life in a foreign country is turned upside down when the foster care system there remove her children.

A loving couple named Debika (Rani) and her husband Anirban Bhattacharya start a new life in Norway in the trailer’s opening moments. Her husband and kids are Debika’s entire universe.

Her momentary elation, though, is short-lived when her kids are taken away. It is claimed that the Chatterjees are not providing the children with enough care.

The trailer demonstrates that the primary criticism of Debika is partially based on a prejudicial viewpoint toward Indian customs.

The Norwegian government objects to Debika’s hand-feeding of her children, sharing a bed with them, and applying tika to their foreheads.

Debika fights it out in court, fighting for custody of her children. Her spouse, who is more preoccupied with his citizenship, declines to support her.

Rani delivers a speech towards the end of the trailer, telling an Indian court that she isn’t sure if she’s a good or bad mother, but that what matters is that she is one.

Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway was initially scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 3, but the debut date was ultimately moved to March 17. Anirban Bhattacharya’s debut acting role in a Hindi film is in this film.
