PM Modi To Inaugurate Developmental Projects In Tamil Nadu

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate several developmental projects in Tamil Nadu during his visit to the southern state on April 9, 2023. These projects aim to improve the infrastructure and connectivity of the state, thereby enhancing its economic and social development.

Among the projects to be inaugurated is the Rs 12,000 crore Chennai Metro Rail Phase-II project. This project, which spans over 118 km, will connect several parts of the city and its suburbs, easing traffic congestion and providing an affordable and efficient mode of public transport.

Another major project to be launched is the Rs 2,000 crore expansion of the Chennai airport. The expansion will enhance the airport's capacity to handle more passengers and cargo, making it a hub for international travel and trade.

In addition to these projects, PM Modi will also launch the Rs 3,500 crore integrated textile park in Salem, which is expected to generate employment opportunities for around 1.5 lakh people in the region. This project will boost the textile industry in Tamil Nadu, which is a major contributor to the state's economy.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the Rs 10,000 crore Chennai-Bengaluru Expressway, which will reduce the travel time between the two cities from the current 7 hours to just 4 hours. The expressway is expected to improve the connectivity between the two major cities and enhance economic growth in the region.

Apart from these projects, PM Modi is also expected to interact with the people of Tamil Nadu and address a public rally in the state. The visit is expected to strengthen the BJP's presence in the state, where it has been trying to make inroads.
