Sunil Chhetri Becomes World’s 4th Highest Goal Scorer After Beating Pakistan

India showcased their dominance with a resounding 4–0 victory over Pakistan in a football match reminiscent of a top seed versus a qualifier. Led by captain Sunil Chhetri, India’s star player, who scored a hat-trick including two gifted goals, and Udanta Singh’s contribution, India maintained their impressive form following their recent Intercontinental Cup win. However, the match was marred by the sending-off of coach Igor Stimac.

Meanwhile, Sunil Chhetri, on the verge of a significant milestone in his career, aims to reach a total of 90 international goals if he scores in the upcoming match. Despite Pakistan’s valiant effort in cricket, their team faced defeat by a margin of 4–0 against India. Arriving in two separate batches earlier on match day, the team displayed determination and put up a fight against their in-form opponents, even without adequate training or practice time.

In a stunning display of skill, Chhetri led the charge for Indian Football, taking advantage of a goalkeeper’s mistake to score the opening goal. He further showcased his prowess by converting a penalty for the second goal. Despite disruptions caused by fan invasions and heavy rain, the match proceeded, and Chhetri secured his 90th international goal, completing a remarkable hat-trick. With India’s dominant performance and Pakistan’s struggle to keep pace, the Indian team emerged victorious with a comprehensive 4–0 win.
