Indus by SuperGaming: Indian Battle Royale Game Hits 5 Million Pre-Registrations

Indian startup SuperGaming’s upcoming battle royale game, Indus, has amassed over 5 million pre-registrations on Google Play, heralding its closed beta release during the festive season. SuperGaming, recognized for games like MaskGun and Silly Royale, released a cinematic trailer for Indus, featuring voices from notable figures such as Olympian Heena Sidhu and gaming YouTuber Techno Gamerz. The company’s proprietary gaming engine, SuperPlatform, is also in the works to support real-time multiplayer games. Indus aims to blend Indian cultural elements with a futuristic society for a distinctive player experience.

CEO Roby John highlights that India’s billion-dollar battle royale market lacks a dedicated local game, despite 400 million Indian players. With 390 million online gamers in India, according to FICCI-EY, SuperGaming is seizing the opportunity. As the battle royale genre, popular among Indian youth, evolves, developers like SuperGaming are leading the charge, bolstering India’s presence in the global gaming scene.
