PM Modi Inaugurate Infrastructure Overhaul: Dwarka Expressway
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram, marking a significant step in India’s journey towards enhanced connectivity and infrastructure development. The 19-kilometer Haryana section, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 4,100 crores, is divided into two packages: a 10.2-kilometer stretch from the Delhi-Haryana Border to the Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and an 8.7-kilometer stretch from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. The Dwarka Expressway aims to ease traffic congestion and boost economic growth by improving traffic flow and easing congestion.

PM Modi’s visit to Gurugram also marked the inauguration of other critical infrastructure projects nationwide, such as the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)-Package 3 in Delhi, three packages of the Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, and the Anandapuram — Pendurthi — Anakapalli section of NH16 in Andhra Pradesh. He also laid the foundation stone for the Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, the Dobaspet — Heskote section in Karnataka, and 42 other projects worth Rs. 20,500 crores across various states.
The inauguration of the Dwarka Expressway and other infrastructure projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to building a robust and future-ready transportation network, facilitating seamless connectivity and pave the way for economic prosperity, job creation, and an enhanced quality of life for millions of Indians.
