UAE and India Foster Economic Cooperation, Focus on New Economy and Tourism

 UAE and India are exploring investment opportunities in new economy and tourism sectors. The UAE has invested AED 56.5 billion in India by the end of 2022. The UAE Minister of Economy, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, met with Indian Ministers Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri G. Kishan Reddy to discuss strengthening economic and trade cooperation.

The UAE-India relations aim to promote sustainable development and prosperity for their people. They are working to increase non-oil trade and mutual investments in sectors like renewable energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, real estate, and startups. The UAE appreciates India’s G20 presidency and aims to enhance tourism cooperation. Indian visitors to the UAE reached five million in 2022. The Indian private sector is invited to expand through UAE incentives and growth opportunities. India is the UAE’s second largest trade partner, and the countries have a comprehensive economic partnership agreement to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation.
