The criteria included possessing an MBA degree with a minimum of 60% marks, fluency in both Hindi and English languages, and falling within the age bracket of 25 to 40. After a computer proficiency test, 105 candidates were chosen as Udyami Mitra professionals.
On May 26th, these selected candidates will receive offer letters personally from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself. The Udyami Mitra professionals will be assigned roles at different levels, including district, state headquarters, and the UP Invest office. Seventy individuals will be designated at the district level, twenty-five at the state headquarters, and ten at the UP Invest offices.
Their responsibilities will revolve around acting as facilitators, assisting industrialists in obtaining necessary clearances, understanding government incentives, and resolving any obstacles that may arise during the establishment of their units. Before being assigned their duties, these professionals will undergo a comprehensive 14-day training program.
The tenure for the Udyami Mitra professionals is set for one year initially, with the possibility of extension depending on requirements. They will receive a monthly salary of Rs 70,000, excluding perks and benefits.
This visionary initiative highlights Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ambition to harness the potential of IIT and IIM graduates and leverage their expertise to propel investment and economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. By streamlining processes, bridging departmental gaps, and providing dedicated support to investors, the government aims to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and attract more investments to the state.
