Revolutionary Health Tracking Features Rumored for Next Generation AirPods Pro
Apple’s upcoming version of the AirPods Pro is rumored to introduce groundbreaking health tracking features, as per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. One potential feature is the ability to assess if the user is experiencing hearing loss. While Apple already offers an audiogram feature for adjusting earphones based on hearing, integrating it into the operating system could position the AirPods Pro as a hearing aid. Another possible addition is a temperature sensor that allows users to check their body temperature through the ear canal, providing more accurate temperature tracking and potentially indicating illness.

Additionally, the next AirPods Pro may see a transition from the proprietary Lightning port to a USB Type-C charging port. This move aligns with Apple’s plan to shift its iPhones to USB Type-C due to EU legislation. However, the availability of these features is not expected in the immediate future. Gurman suggests that the next AirPods Pro could still be several months or even years away, although a newer version with USB Type-C might be released sooner, as predicted by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
It remains uncertain whether these health-related features will be incorporated into the next generation of AirPods Pro or introduced in a new case featuring the USB Type-C port. It is advisable to await official announcements from Apple for further details and confirmation.
