Rapido, founded in 2015, holds the distinction of being India’s first bike taxi service. Other companies like Jugnoo, Bounce, Ola Bike, UberMOTO, and Zoomcar have also entered the market, providing similar services across various Indian cities.

While the Indian government issued guidelines in 2018 to ensure safety measures for bike taxis, the legality of these services remains subject to change. To use or operate a bike taxi, it’s essential to be aware of the specific laws in the state of operation.
