Record-Setting Hygiene Drive: 5 Lakh Sanitary Napkins Distributed in 24 Hrs
The Chandigarh Welfare Trust (CWT) and NID Foundation have achieved an extraordinary feat by securing a Guinness World Record for distributing the highest number of sanitary pad packets within a mere 24 hours. The organizations distributed an impressive 1.25 lakh packets of biodegradable sanitary napkins, equating to a total of 5 lakh sanitary napkins, with each packet containing four napkins. The official adjudicator from the Guinness World Records, Rishi Nath, presented a certificate to Satnam Singh Sandhu, the founder of CWT and chief patron of NID Foundation, acknowledging this remarkable accomplishment.

The record-breaking distribution event unfolded at Mahajan Bhawan in Sector 37, Chandigarh, witnessing the presence of various individuals from NGOs, as well as religious leaders. In a gesture of appreciation, the team dedicated this achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his tireless efforts to make sanitary napkins affordable and readily available to adolescent girls and women. The team also commended the Prime Minister’s campaign to elevate awareness about menstrual hygiene, effectively challenging long-standing taboos surrounding the topic.
The monumental accomplishment of distributing 5 lakh biodegradable sanitary napkins in a single day is a significant stride toward ensuring women’s access to essential hygiene products. The dedication of CWT and NID Foundation to this cause is commendable, and their acknowledgment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contributions reflects a collective effort towards advancing women’s health and dignity in the country.
