Delhi Transport Introduces Shuttle Bus Service for Easy Access to Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya

Getting to the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya in the heart of Delhi is now more convenient, thanks to a special ‘shuttle bus’ service introduced by the Delhi transport department. Commencing from November 1, 2023, visitors can easily access these shuttle buses from nearby metro stations at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan. The plan is to extend the service to Lok Kalyan Marg station based on the response to this new initiative. The buses operate on a loop, making hourly trips and even offering the convenience of purchasing museum tickets on board.

Opened in April 2022, the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya stands as a tribute to India’s rich political history and its journey through parliamentary democracy. Beyond the historical aspects, the museum celebrates contemporary achievements, including India’s space ventures such as the Chandrayaan missions. A captivating light and sound show detailing the cosmic journey and a November show dedicated to the courageous women warriors of India add to the museum’s allure.

For those opting for the metro route, the Yellow Line and the Lok Kalyan Marg station are the key points, with a short walk to the museum. Alternatively, the new shuttle buses provide a convenient transportation option. However, individuals who prefer driving should be mindful of limited parking space for bikes and cars.

The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya attracts around 2,000 visitors daily, offering a profound understanding of India’s growth and accomplishments. With nearly seven lakh visitors since its inauguration, the museum is more than just a static display; it serves as a vibrant, living narrative of India’s ongoing evolution.

So, if you’re planning a visit, keep in mind that history is not confined to the past — it’s a path guiding us forward. The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya serves as an ideal starting point for this journey. Enjoy your exploration!
