‘Bharat Park’ In UAE To Fulfill Global Demands For Indian Products

India is set to open ‘Bharat Park’ in the UAE, a country with a large Indian community, to provide a global platform for Indian products. The project aims to establish a mall showroom and warehouse for Indian goods in the UAE, expected to be operational by 2025. The aim is to offer Indian exporters a dedicated space in a strategic international market.

The location of Bharat Park is in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, a key strategic location near Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which will facilitate the distribution of Indian goods in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Abdullah Al Hashmi from DP World GCC emphasized that the park is expected to become a global distribution hub, enhancing trade relations and reducing costs and time associated with transporting goods.

The establishment of Bharat Park aligns with India and the UAE’s goals to increase their non-petroleum trade to $100 billion by 2030, following India’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the UAE in 2022. The Indian government plans to set up 21 testing laboratories across India with an investment of Rs. 40 crore to boost the quality and standard of Indian products.
