 Elon Musk recently visited Indonesia and China, where he engaged in significant discussions and events. Notably, he met with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the 10th World Water Forum in Bali.

At the World Water Forum, Musk met with President Wickremesinghe to discuss the potential implementation of Starlink internet services in Sri Lanka potential implementation of Starlink internet services in Sri Lanka. During his visit to Bali, Musk inaugurated Starlink services at a community health center. The event, attended by Indonesian government representatives, emphasized the crucial role of internet connectivity in improving healthcare and education in underserved areas. Following this launch, Starlink's coverage now extends to over 17,000 islands in Indonesia.

The President's media division and Sri Lankan Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Jeevan Thondaman both shared posts on social media platform X, highlighting the significance of Musk's visit and the potential benefits of Starlink for Sri Lanka.

India Visit Cancellation and Future Plans

Originally, Musk was scheduled to visit India from April 20 to 22. However, this trip was canceled due to pressing obligations with Tesla. Musk expressed his regret, stating, "Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting later this year."

Despite the cancellation, sources indicate that Musk had planned to announce a major expansion of Starlink in India. This announcement could have included a $2-3 billion EV manufacturing facility and other Starlink-related development projects. Indian officials and stakeholders now await further announcements and a rescheduled visit from Musk, as his plans for Starlink in India remain highly anticipated.
