Scindia Family Mourns the Loss of Madhavi Raje Scindia

In breaking news, the Scindia family is in mourning following the passing of Madhavi Raje Scindia, the mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Madhavi Raje passed away on Sunday morning at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, as reported by the news agency PTI.

Madhavi Raje had been ill for the past three months, suffering from pneumonia and sepsis. She had been hospitalized at AIIMS, and in recent days, she was on a ventilator.

Originally from the royal family of Nepal, Madhavi Raje, born Kiran Raj Lakshmi, became part of the Scindia royal family of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, after her marriage to Madhav Rao Scindia on May 8, 1966. Her grandfather, Juddha Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana, was a former Prime Minister of Nepal. Madhav Rao Scindia, a prominent Indian politician, tragically died in a plane crash in Kanpur in 2001.

This is a particularly challenging time for Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is currently engaged in preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Despite his busy schedule, he and his family visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April 2022. Madhavi Raje had been a strong supporter of her son, especially during his transition from the Congress party to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Jyotiraditya Scindia has often spoken about the deep bond he shared with his mother, considering her his inspiration. Her passing is a significant personal loss for him.

The last rites for Madhavi Raje are expected to take place on the evening of May 16 at the Scindia family residence in Madhya Pradesh, with the entire family in attendance.

In a recent tweet, Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed his sorrow over the demise of Sushil Kumar Modi, an Indian politician from the BJP and an MP in the Rajya Sabha from Bihar, highlighting his emotional state during this period of personal loss.

As the Scindia family navigates this difficult time, they are receiving condolences and support from across the political spectrum and the nation.
