WWT and NXT Global Establish AI Integration Center in Masdar City, First AI Integration Center of UAE

 US-based technology giant World Wide Technology (WWT) has signed an agreement with NXT Global to build the first AI integration center in the UAE, located in Abu Dhabi's Masdar City. This groundbreaking initiative, known as WWT NXT Global, is poised to transform the UAE into a hub for cutting-edge AI infrastructure, exporting both virtually and physically from Abu Dhabi to the world.

The AI Integration Center will significantly advance the UAE’s existing AI capabilities, supporting the nation’s ambitions to build a future-oriented, knowledge-based economy. The center will collaborate closely with the newly established Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, headed by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

WWT NXT Global’s Masdar City facility will design, build, and deliver advanced AI technology, leveraging WWT’s extensive network of leading US companies specializing in AI, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and networks. This initiative aims to increase AI deployment in the UAE by up to 75 percent while reducing AI engineering costs by half. Such advancements will bolster the UAE’s AI programs and strategic projects, promoting local production and enhancing the nation's status as a global leader in AI innovation.

The creation of this center aligns with the UAE's ambitious goals to become a leader in AI technology. Situated in Abu Dhabi, amidst a thriving ecosystem of SMEs and leading global players, the center will develop an End-to-End AI Infrastructure that positions the UAE at the forefront of technological advancement.

WWT NXT Global will integrate into WWT’s expansive global ecosystem, which includes over 4 million square feet of warehouse and integration space. This network supports AI infrastructure services for 80 of the Fortune 100 companies, providing state-of-the-art solutions from top US OEMs such as Nvidia, AMD, HPE, Intel, Cisco, and Dell. The center will also serve as an AI proving ground for the world’s leading hyperscalers.

Objectives of the NXT Global Integration Center:

  1. Boost AI Technology Growth: Strengthening the UAE's commitment to AI by implementing cutting-edge technologies across various sectors through locally developed End-to-End AI infrastructure services.
  2. Knowledge Sharing and Networking: Creating opportunities for IT professionals to share knowledge and build networks within the AI field.
  3. Collaborative AI Projects: Providing a platform for collaborative efforts on AI projects, fostering innovation and teamwork.

Chairman of NXT Global, H.E. Nasser Ahmed Khalifa Ahmed Al Sowaidi, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We are thrilled to launch our AI Integration Center here in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.”

Both WWT and NXT Global are optimistic about this new partnership, which is set to enhance the growth of AI in the UAE. The AI Integration Center and AI Proving Ground will significantly transform Masdar City, aligning with the UAE’s vision to become a powerhouse in AI technology. The global tech community eagerly anticipates the next milestones in the UAE's AI journey.
