UAE's Humanitarian Commitment: Lifesaving Aid and Medical Evacuations for Gaza

 The United Arab Emirates’ efforts in providing critical humanitarian aid to Gaza reflect a deeply rooted commitment to global healthcare and solidarity. Since December 2023, the Emirates has delivered robust support through initiatives like the Southern Gaza field hospital, which has treated over 50,000 cases, and the floating hospital stationed at Al-Arish Port, which has attended to more than 6,000 patients. These efforts underscore the UAE’s leadership in addressing immediate medical needs, including evacuating over 2,100 patients to receive treatment in UAE hospitals.




Beyond immediate relief, the UAE’s role in the region goes deeper. The directive from President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to treat 1,000 critically injured children and cancer patients reflects a forward-thinking approach that addresses both short-term medical crises and longer-term recovery. His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi’s emphasis on the UAE’s unwavering support for Palestine during this humanitarian catastrophe highlights the country’s broad, multi-faceted approach to aid—whether through medical evacuations, field hospitals, or direct aid.
