UAE ranks first globally in 223 competitiveness indicators

The UAE has solidified its position as a global powerhouse in competitiveness and business development in 2024, showcasing remarkable achievements in various global reports. The nation has consistently prioritized human development, driving its progress across numerous sectors, including the economy, government efficiency, and business environment.



One of the standout indicators is the UAE’s impressive global FDI performance, ranking 2nd globally with 1,323 new FDI projects in 2023. This represents a growth rate of 33% in new projects and highlights the country’s attractiveness for foreign investments. The UAE saw an influx of $30.688 billion in FDI, underscoring its importance as an investment hub.

Additionally, the UAE maintained its top position in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor for the third consecutive year, with a 7.7 rating, further cementing its status as a global leader in entrepreneurship. Its continued rise in the IMD World Competitiveness ranking to 7th place globally is a testament to its unwavering commitment to improving the business environment, infrastructure, and overall quality of life.

These accomplishments reflect the UAE’s strategic vision, balancing economic growth with technological advancement, sustainable practices, and enhanced governance. As it moves into 2025, the UAE remains a shining example of development and prosperity on the global stage.
