58ft Tall Statue of Potti Sriramulu to Be Installed in Amaravati: CM Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that a grand 58-foot-tall statue of Potti Sriramulu will be installed in Amaravati. The decision is a tribute to the freedom fighter and linguist, whose relentless efforts and ultimate sacrifice led to the formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

CM Naidu emphasized that the statue will symbolize the rich cultural heritage and history of the Telugu people. He further stated that Amaravati, the capital city, will reflect the aspirations of Sriramulu, who dedicated his life to the cause of a separate Andhra state. The installation is expected to inspire future generations and remind them of the sacrifices made for statehood.

The government is making all necessary arrangements for the statue’s construction, and officials are working on selecting an appropriate location within Amaravati. This initiative is part of the broader efforts to honor key historical figures who shaped Andhra Pradesh’s identity.
