iPhone Manufacturer Foxconn Plans New Facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh

In a major boost to India’s electronics manufacturing sector, Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics maker and key assembler of Apple’s iPhones, has announced plans to set up a new facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The proposed plant is expected to generate approximately 40,000 new jobs, reinforcing the state’s position as a growing tech and manufacturing hub.

The new investment aligns with India’s "Make in India" initiative and reflects Foxconn’s strategy to diversify its production base outside China. Uttar Pradesh, with its investor-friendly policies and infrastructure support, has emerged as an attractive destination for global manufacturers.

This move is anticipated to significantly contribute to the local economy and enhance India’s role in the global electronics supply chain.
