Apple App Store Drives $5.3 Billion in Billings and Sales in India in 2024

In 2024, Apple’s App Store ecosystem generated $5.3 billion in total billings and sales in India, reflecting the platform’s growing role in the country’s digital economy. Notably, 94% of this commerce went directly to developers and businesses, with no commission paid to Apple. This includes revenue from apps offering physical goods and services, as well as advertising and other transactions outside Apple’s in-app purchase system.

The figures highlight the App Store’s impact in empowering Indian developers and entrepreneurs, contributing to job creation and the expansion of the app-based economy. Apple continues to emphasize its commitment to providing a platform that supports innovation while enabling creators to retain the majority of their earnings.
