UP CM Unveils Plan for Mini-Stadiums and Sports Colleges

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has announced an ambitious initiative to boost sports infrastructure across the state. The plan includes establishing one mini-stadium in each of the state's 403 assembly constituencies and one sports college in every mandal (administrative division).

This move aims to nurture grassroots talent, promote fitness, and provide better training facilities to aspiring athletes. The Chief Minister emphasized the role of sports in youth development and said the government is committed to creating opportunities for sportspersons in both urban and rural areas.

The state government will allocate special funds for construction and equipment, with a focus on ensuring access to a variety of sports disciplines. This initiative is expected to enhance UP's presence in national and international sporting events.
