Delhi Ready to Host 2036 Olympics: CM Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has declared that the national capital is fully prepared to host the 2036 Olympic Games. Speaking at a public event, Kejriwal emphasized the city’s robust infrastructure, improved transport network, and expanding sports facilities as key factors making Delhi a strong contender.

He highlighted that Delhi has experience hosting global events like the Commonwealth Games and G20 Summit, and assured that if India is awarded the 2036 Olympics, the capital is ready to rise to the occasion. The government also plans to upgrade existing sports venues and develop world-class athlete villages to meet international standards.

This announcement aligns with India’s growing interest in hosting the Olympic Games, with several states reportedly exploring bids in coordination with the central government.
