Andhra Pradesh to Roll Out AI-Powered Smart Mosquito Control

In a pioneering move to combat vector-borne diseases, the Andhra Pradesh government is set to launch an AI-enabled ‘smart mosquito control’ programme. The initiative will utilize artificial intelligence and data analytics to identify mosquito breeding hotspots, track mosquito density, and optimize fogging and spraying operations in real time. Aimed at curbing diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya, this smart surveillance system will be integrated with IoT devices and GIS mapping for precise intervention. Authorities believe this tech-driven approach will significantly enhance public health outcomes and set a benchmark for other states to follow.
