Foxconn Begins Importing iPhone 17 Parts to India

Foxconn has initiated the import of key components from China to India in preparation for assembling Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17. This move signals Apple’s continued push to diversify its manufacturing footprint and strengthen its production capabilities in India.

The early component shipments highlight Apple's strategy to ramp up local assembly and reduce dependence on China, aligning with broader supply chain realignments amid geopolitical and economic shifts. The iPhone 17 is expected to be launched in 2026, with India playing a more prominent role in its manufacturing journey.
