India-France Partnership to Build Drones for Defence and Global Exports

India and France have deepened their strategic ties by agreeing to jointly manufacture drones for defence use and international markets. This collaboration, announced during high-level talks between the two nations, is aimed at boosting indigenous capabilities and creating a strong export-oriented drone ecosystem.

The agreement includes co-development and co-production of high-performance drones, leveraging India's manufacturing strength and France's advanced defence technology. The initiative will not only serve the defence forces of both countries but also open avenues for exporting to allied nations.

This move aligns with India's 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) campaigns while reinforcing the Indo-French defence alliance as a global force in unmanned aerial systems.
