Rain Museum Coming to Mawsynram

Mawsynram in Meghalaya — the wettest place on Earth — is set to host the world’s first Rain Museum. The museum will showcase the science, culture, and environmental impact of rainfall. It aims to celebrate the region’s unique weather patterns and raise awareness about climate change.

The initiative, supported by the state government and environmental experts, is expected to boost eco-tourism and provide educational opportunities for visitors from around the world. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
