India Sets Sights on Moon Landing by 2040

India has officially announced its ambitious goal of landing an astronaut on the Moon by the year 2040. The mission will mark a significant leap in the country's space exploration journey.

According to government sources, work is already underway on designing the launch vehicle configuration and developing the necessary orbital module systems. These components are critical for transporting astronauts safely to the Moon and back.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been steadily expanding its capabilities, with successful missions like Chandrayaan-3 and Gaganyaan paving the way for this next milestone. If achieved, India would join an elite group of nations that have conducted human landings on the lunar surface.
