Russia Offers India Joint Production of Su-57 Fighters

Russia has proposed to India the joint production of its Su-57 fifth-generation stealth fighter jets, along with the localization of manufacturing on Indian soil. The move aims to strengthen defense ties between the two nations and provide India with advanced air combat capabilities.

If finalized, the collaboration would mark a significant step in India’s pursuit of indigenous production and self-reliance in defense. It would also ensure technology transfer, localized supply chains, and potential cost advantages for the Indian Air Force.

The Su-57, Russia’s most advanced fighter, is designed for stealth, supermaneuverability, and next-generation avionics, making it a strong contender to boost India’s air power in the coming decade.
