Andhra CM clears ₹1.14 trillion investments, including Google’s ₹87,520-cr data centre in Visakhapatnam, to position the city as ‘AI City Vizag’

 


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved investment proposals worth ₹1.14 trillion, including Google’s massive ₹87,520 crore data centre project in Visakhapatnam. The move aims to transform the coastal city into a global technology hub, dubbed “AI City Vizag.”

The investments span IT, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors, promising thousands of jobs and enhanced digital capabilities. Naidu said the state’s focus on innovation and data-driven growth will make Visakhapatnam a leading centre for artificial intelligence and cloud technologies in Asia.
