Non-FASTag Vehicles Face Higher Toll Charges

Starting now, vehicles without a FASTag will face increased toll charges across national highways. Those paying via UPI will be required to pay 1.25 times the standard fee, while cash payments will be double the normal toll rate. The move aims to encourage digital payments, reduce congestion at toll plazas, and improve transaction efficiency. Authorities have urged commuters to adopt FASTag to avoid higher charges and ensure smoother travel.
