Telecom Tariffs Likely to Rise by 2025

Indian telecom operators are expected to hike mobile tariffs by 10–12% by the end of 2025, as the industry seeks to improve average revenue per user (ARPU) and sustain investments in 5G rollout. The move is anticipated after a period of relative price stability, with operators under pressure from high spectrum costs, network expansion, and rising operational expenses. Analysts believe the hike will help strengthen the financial health of major players like Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, while ensuring continued investment in next-gen infrastructure. However, consumers may feel the pinch as mobile bills climb, making affordability a key concern in the highly competitive telecom market.
