India is set to mark a major milestone in high-speed rail travel, as Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the country’s first bullet train will begin operations between Surat and Vapi in August 2027. Covering a stretch of 100 km, this segment is part of the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. Construction is progressing rapidly, with advanced technology and Japanese collaboration driving the project. Once operational, the bullet train will significantly reduce travel time and showcase India’s leap into next-generation transportation infrastructure.
