India is gearing up for a historic transportation milestone as its first bullet train is set to begin operations in August 2027. The inaugural stretch will cover a 100 km route between Surat and Vapi, marking a major step toward high-speed rail connectivity in the country. This ambitious project is expected to significantly reduce travel time, boost local economies, and showcase India’s technological progress in modern infrastructure. The Surat–Vapi section will serve as a model corridor before expansion to other regions, bringing India closer to its first true high-speed rail network.
