Rajasthan Unveils India’s Largest Solar Park with 5 GWh Battery Storage in Bikaner

Rajasthan has launched India’s largest solar power park in Bikaner, featuring an advanced 5 GWh battery energy storage system — a first of its scale in the country. Spanning thousands of acres, the park is set to significantly boost India’s renewable capacity and ensure round-the-clock green power supply. The project, developed under the state’s green energy corridor initiative, is expected to supply clean electricity to multiple states and support India’s target of 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030. Officials said the Bikaner facility marks a major step toward energy independence and climate resilience.
