BARC R&D Campus Coming to Anakapalli

Andhra Pradesh is set to strengthen its scientific and technological ecosystem with the establishment of a massive 3,000-acre research and development campus of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Anakapalli district. The proposed facility is expected to focus on advanced nuclear research, strategic technologies, and innovation-driven development.

The BARC campus will not only boost high-end research infrastructure in the state but also generate skilled employment and attract allied industries, startups, and academic collaborations. Officials say the project will position Andhra Pradesh as a key hub for cutting-edge scientific research, while contributing to national self-reliance in critical technologies.

The development is seen as a major milestone for Anakapalli, bringing long-term economic growth and reinforcing India’s commitment to expanding its nuclear science and research capabilities.
