India–EU FTA Talks Gain Momentum

 


India and the European Union took a significant step toward finalising a long-awaited Free Trade Agreement as Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held high-level talks with EU Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič in Brussels. 

The discussions focused on narrowing differences, boosting market access, and strengthening cooperation across key sectors such as trade, investment, sustainability, and supply chains. Both sides reiterated their commitment to accelerating negotiations, reflecting growing strategic and economic convergence between India and the EU amid shifting global trade dynamics.
