iPhone Exports Cross ₹2 Trillion: India’s Apple Moment

Apple’s iPhone exports from India crossed the landmark figure of ₹2 trillion in 2025, marking a major milestone for the country’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. This is the first time such a scale has been achieved since Apple began iPhone production in India in 2021.

The surge reflects India’s growing role in Apple’s global supply chain, driven by expanded manufacturing capacity, improving infrastructure, and strong policy support under the government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. Export-focused facilities operated by Apple’s contract manufacturers have significantly ramped up output to meet global demand.

The achievement also underscores India’s emergence as a key alternative manufacturing hub, reducing dependence on traditional production bases. With exports continuing to rise, Apple’s India strategy is increasingly central to both the company’s global operations and India’s ambition to become a leading electronics manufacturing powerhouse.
